Seasonal Gatherings
How do you walk with intention? Are you living life... or is life living you?
Taking the time to celebrate the sabbats, acknowledge these seasonal moments, and the medicine they bring allows us to step out of the day to day.
We are cyclical beings!
Birth, growth, full bloom, harvest, decay, death, and rebirth.
Each of these phases as important at the next.
We aren't meant to live in a perpetual state of summer. Always on the go and being constantly productive is a recipe for burnout.
Honour your need for growth and for rest. Set your intentions, yes, enjoy the fullness of the blooming, but also take time to examine your harvest. Practice discernment. Let go of all that is not working or not meant for you.
Begin again.
We live each of these cycles in a year, in a month, and in a day.
"As we apprentice ourselves to the way of nature, we begin to understand that all of life is in a continuous cycle of giving and receiving. It is the honouring of this cycle that makes us feel at home in ourselves and in relation to the rest of nature"
- Toko-Pa Turner, Belonging
Sacred Rhythms
Our seasonal gatherings happen eight times per year, one for each Sabbat. They mark the passing of time and our journey around the Wheel of Life. A symbolic cycle that reflects the changing seasons and the rhythm of life.
These eight festivals align with the solstices, equinoxes, and the midpoints between them, symbolising key moments in the Earth’s yearly cycle.
Our seasonal gatherings create the opportunity to deepen your connection to the Earth, the cycles of life, and your spiritual path. Therefore, by observing the Wheel of the Year, we honour the ever-changing beauty of nature and embrace the lessons it teaches.
What to Expect
Each gathering varies slightly as they are deeply intertwined with the medicine of each season, but all gatherings will include the following:
✨ You will be smudged on arrival prior to entering the space
✨ Calling the Directions as a group
✨ Teachings around the significance of this time of the year
✨ Sacred crafting activity
✨ Seasonal ritual
✨ Nourishing afternoon tea
✨ Teachings around herbal allies and practices for this time of year
✨ Singing & drumming around the fire or earth altar.
A truly nourishing afternoon, steeped in ritual and ceremony as we celebrate the significance of each point in the Wheel.
The second part of the gathering will be our Singing & Drumming Circle. Bring along your voice, your drum if you have one (other musical instruments are most welcome, or stamp your feet and clap your hands, drum your heartbeat on your chest - all forms of joyous self expression are welcome!). We will provide a basket of small percussion instruments to share, such as rattles and clap sticks... don't let not owning a drum be a reason to miss out!
There will be plenty of time throughout the afternoon to sink your roots in deeply and connect with the others who have come along.
We are so looking forward to singing and drumming with you! Cultivating joy and raising our collective vibration as we celebrate the turning of the Wheel.
