About Me
Hello dear one, my name is Helen, sometimes known as Earthstar. I received this name several years ago during my first vision quest. You are welcome to call me either - I answer to both!
I was born and lived in the North East of England until I emigrated to Australia in my late 20s. I spent time travelling and exploring, both solo and with my partner, before we chose to settle in rural Western Victoria. We live on a beautiful permaculture property, which is constantly evolving, with our two children and menagerie of animals.
My work is centered around creativity, connection and ritual. Honouring my own ancestry and weaving in herbal & animal medicine as walk my living prayer gently on this land. I am an animist, and as such, I look to the natural world to understand more deeply the messages presented by our more than human kin.
I am a creatrix at heart, and am at my happiest when crafting sacred tools or wearable art. I have a passion for eco printing - I love anything that connects me more deeply to the earth!
You'll rarely see photos of me - simply because I am often the one behind the camera. My photography is another expression of my art.
I have a BA (Honours) in Three Dimensional Design: Designer Maker from the University of Plymouth. I am a graduate of the Four Seasons Journey from the School of Shamanic Womancraft, and a Teacher within The Temple of Inanna of the Invoking Inanna Underworld Journey.
I have completed the Holding Sacred and Ceremonial Space training with Kin of the Fiain Danu, and am a current student and Animal Dreaming Apprentice with Scott Alexander King's School Of Earth Medicine.
I am a fully insured member of the International Institute of Complimentary Therapies (IICT), with over 5 years' experience of creating and holding sacred space, facilitating transformational workshops and connecting others to their inherent magic through sacred crafting and cyclical wisdom.

Earthstar Magic Offers a range of services & creative workshops designed to reconnect you to the seasons and cycles, within and without.
Women's Circles
A safe and sacred space held each month in either Ballarat or Skipton, where women can connect, share stories, cry, laugh and be celebrated.
Together we learn about the seasons and cycles, the magic that they hold and how we can work with them to create more balance in our lives. Discover your Power Animal through Shamanic Drum Journeying, learn Medicine Songs and feel lighter and more grounded after taking some time just for you each month.
Medicine Drum Crafting
Join us for this deeply transformative workshop where you will birth your own Medicine Drum.
Held twice per year, in Spring and Autumn, we will camp together on the land in Mount Egerton and live in community over two days.
Birthing your own drum is a deep experience. By approaching the process with awareness and intention you will not only craft yourself a personalised shamanic tool, you will also have a shamanic experience, connecting with the animal of the hide you are using, the wood of the frame and observing the way you show up during the creative process.
Seasonal Celebrations
Celebrating the turning of the wheel, these gatherings are held for each of the seasonal markers on the Celtic Wheel of Life.
Incorporating ritual work, spell crafting, seasonal herbs and practices to nourish your body, nourishing food and herbal tea.
Each circle concludes with drumming and singing around the fire or earth altar, depending on the season. Each gathering is a stand alone event, and is a great way to meet community and see what we have to offer before committing to a longer journey.
Sacred Crafting Workshops
My passion is creating things, and teaching YOU to create things, too! My sacred crafting workshops incorporate earth based crafting using natural or found materials and the concept that we weave together A Spell In Time each and every time we create.
Gain insights into the lunar phase, what is happening astrologically, and in the earth calendar as we create a sacred object imbued with the energy of this time.
Singing & Drumming Circles
Join us to drum and sing around the fire as we share drum beats, rhythms, and medicine songs. Lifting our collective vibration, and joining together in community to connect with like-minded souls.
There is such medicine and magic in singing and drumming together - and we can't wait to share this with you!
Rites of Passage
Celebrate the important milestones in your life such as fertility & conception, pregnancy & birth, menarche, menopause, or grief & loss with ritual and reverence.
Bespoke rituals created for you or a small group to honour this special time, incorporating women's wisdom and shamanic practices.
I am also passionate about facilitating tangible change through healing our Rites of Passage. We each have the power to rewrite our own stories!

Festivals
It has been my deep honour to host the Teen Lounge at Seven Sisters Festival over the past couple of years. Creating a welcoming and creative space for young women at the festival to connect and hang out.
We've enjoyed activities such as wand crafting, dream sharing circle, beading and claywork.
You can also find me in the drumming circle each evening at sunset!
